To pay for his college education, Roger’s Dad, Mr. Rogers, earned extra money being a test subject in clinical trials of experimental drugs. Though most of the trials ended up being fairly routine in nature, one of the trials ended up being tied to a drug company called BioWharfair.
Unbeknownst to him, Mr. Rogers was given high doses of an experimental super-soldier drug developed as part of a secret contract with the U.S. Army.
The drug didn’t seem to have any affect on Mr. Rogers, but the combination of the experimental drug and UVA rays from his home tanning bed altered his DNA and that of his "seed" in a way that wouldn’t become fully realized until the birth of his little boy, Roger.
Roger was born healthy but with part of his face facing forward and part of his face facing to the right. As he grew older, people who met young Roger admitted that it was a bit perplexing to have a conversation with him.
Undaunted by the peculiar nature of his appearance, Roger dedicated his life to fighting crime, helping old ladies cross the street, and teaching high school History (and coaching basketball from time to time). |
